How does story generation work?
Describe your idea, pick an age range and art style, and Stelar writes an age-appropriate story. It then finds the characters, draws a portrait for each, and illustrates every page using those portraits.
Are the stories safe for children?
Yes. Stories are generated with family-friendly guardrails, and you can read and edit the text of every page before it is illustrated or shared.
Which art styles are available?
Styles include watercolor, classic storybook, cartoon, anime, pixel art and 3D, with more added over time. Some styles need a Storyteller plan or higher.
Do characters really stay consistent across pages?
Each character gets a reference portrait before any page is drawn, and every scene is illustrated from those references, so the same character looks the same throughout the book.
Can my child be the hero of the story?
Yes. Create a kid profile from 1–3 photos, pick an art style, and Stelar draws your child as a storybook character. In any book, swap them in for the main character. Photos are stored privately, never shown publicly, and deleted when you delete the profile. The trial includes 1 profile, and plans include 3 on Starter, 5 on Storyteller and 10 on Family.
Can I edit the story or images?
You can edit the text at any point before illustration. If a picture is not right, redo just that page without touching the rest of the book.
How do I share a storybook?
Publish the book to get a flipbook link. Anyone with the link can read it, no sign-in needed, so share it with the people you choose. You can also download a PDF or ZIP to print at home or with a professional printer.
Can I use my own API keys?
Yes, on plans that support it. Generations made with your own keys do not use your plan credits.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are month to month and you can cancel from settings. You keep access until the end of the billing period, and your books stay yours.
